Loft Hatches

Glidevale Loft Access Trap AH4 Part L is a push-up hatch. The trap is made from injection-moulded polypropylene and has insulation infill. It has twin latches and an anti-wind uplift mechanism at the opposite end of the door. This prevents the hatch becoming dislodged if there is severe wind or gusting.

Glidevale AH5 loft hatches are hinged to drop down from the ceiling. The trap is made from injection-moulded polypropylene and has insulation infill and offers a u value of 0.35W/m2K. Twin latches hold the hinged hatch in place with two hinges operating the opening mechanism. This model is supplied with a twist lock.

Glidevale AH6 loft hatches are hinged to drop down from the ceiling and manufactured to provide 1hr of fire resistance. The door and frame are made from 1mm and 1.2mm thick electro-galvanised steel whilst the hatch is filled in with insulation to offer 0.35 W/m2K. The hatch is polyester powder coated in white to maintain an unobtrusive and sleek finish no matter where it’s installed. This hatch is fitted with a concealed lock.
